How You Can Celebrate Navratri

In Spring time, Chaitra Navratri celebrates Śri Durga Devi. This year, 2023, we celebrate March 22-30. Chaitra चैत्र is sometimes translated as “new bright light” and Navratri means “nine nights.” The final night of this spring celebration is considered a celebration of Rāma’s birth and victory of light over darkness. Rāma is the 7th avatar of Viśnu and is considered to be the embodiment of Dharma.

During these nine days and nights, enjoy enlivening Durga & all that she embodies in your awareness. Here are some suggestions:

3/22 Navratri Day 1 - Royal Blue

One should wear royal blue on day 1 of Chaitra Navratri and participate in the celebrations. This shade represents richness and tranquillity.

3/23 Navratri Day 2 - Yellow
