About The Founder, Su-Jung Lee
Courtesy of Ken Richardson
Su-Jung found her way to this medicine through her love of art, travel and insatiable hunger to learn about how people work.
She has her Masters in Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, which includes the study of acupuncture and herbal medicine, from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. The program is known for its academic rigor and dual focus on biomedicine and traditional medicine. She also earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Museum School in Boston and Tufts University, which laid the groundwork for intense philosophical basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Su-Jung is a life-long learner and regularly attends specialty seminars with leaders in their fields, such as Mazin Al-Khafaji (Dermatology), Giovanni Maciocia (Allergy and Gynecology), Nigel Dawes (Japanese Acupuncture & Kampo), Claudia Citkovitz (Labor & Delivery), and Lillian Bridges (Facial Diagnosis). She has also travelled to Beijing to follow Dr. Wang Ju Yi in his clinical work based on Channel Theory and is currently involved in post-graduate work with Andrew Nugent-Head in Asheville, NC, Lonny Jarret in Stockbridge, MA and in Supervision with Elaine Stern in her homebase, New york City.
To promote and uphold standards of her profession, she is a member of professional organizations such as the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY).
in her own words...
The concept of truing a wheel resonated with me as a metaphor for fine tuning the body. Truing can allow your body to work with its inherent nature and to perform optimally. We are about being true to the original nature of your self.
Part of the work of healing is to realign you to your true purpose and...
to rediscover feeling comfortable in your own skin.
As with each spoke of a wheel, alignment can be optimized. With each Truing wellness treatment, you can expect to get closer to your best self.
Health is in constant flux. Finding alignment means moving forward with more ease and meaning.
